Reflections of  November 22, 1963


On November 22, 1963, a female co-worker, after cheering the death (by assassination) of John F. Kennedy, a president, war hero, husband, and father; turned to me, laughed, and asked, “Well, what are you people going to do now?”  Each day I answer that question in my compassion toward others.

Giving Thanks Today that we can rise above circumstances, surroundings, poisonous minds and tongues, and other forms of ignorance and hate. YES WE CAN!

Twinsburg High Students, some of whom were not yet born on 9-11-2001, have shown that they will always remember. How then, could the rest of us ever forget?

If we cannot end now our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity. For, in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children’s future. And we are all mortal.
